My friend Mary’s daughter, Leah, celebrated her first birthday last month, right around the time I started making scarflets in kids’ sizes ($25 plus S&H). Of course, Leah received a purple scarflet in the mail and her mom was nice enough to share pictures of her wearing it with me. (A perk to having so many friends who are new moms is that I now have plenty of models for MBM accessories at my disposal). I made a ton of these scarflets in adult sizes ($30 plus S&H) over the holidays—both as gifts and orders—and they were really well received. It’s not hard to see why. Frog Tree Alpaca comes in such beautiful colors and is so incredibly soft. And as Leah demonstrates, the scarflets complement any outfit—even pajamas!
These small scarves, or scarflets, as I like to call them, make for a unique accent to sweaters and tops and come in sizes for kids and adults. (A special thank you to Carlie, pictured below, for modeling her scarflet.) The scarflets are made from Frog Tree Alpaca, a soft, buttery sport weight yarn which is spun in accordance with the Fair Trade Promise. (Making it chic and charitable!) Cotton and linen options are available for buyers who can’t wear wool. They come in several colors, including red, green, lavender, light pink, gray, light blue, teal, coral, mustard, tan, and black. $30 plus $5 shipping and handling.
